Investment Banking Analyst
Day-to-day as an Investment Banking analyst, you may find yourself engaged in industry & company research, financial modeling, analysis & valuation, coordinating a pitch together with a client coverage team and prospective product group, drafting a presentation, or participating in an internal review “Beat Up” session.

The Investment Banking analyst role is a two- to three-year commitment for those seeking practical, hands-on experience prior to pursuing a graduate degree. Those who display exceptional competence and maturity are eligible for a promotion to associate at the end of their tenure – with the many career opportunities that accompany the role. Those who choose to pursue outside opportunities often enjoy acceptance into top graduate business schools or receive offers with private organizations.

Corporate Banking Analyst
As a Corporate Banking analyst you will assist in the supporting the bank’s lending decisions by analyzing all types of credit and financial information. You will spend much of your time evaluating financial statements, developing projection models, researching industry trends, completing risk analysis, preparing credit packages used to make loan decisions, and assisting in the management of the portfolio. You will also present your findings and opinions concerning creditworthiness.

Debt Capital Markets Analyst
As a Debt Capital Markets analyst you will work on transaction teams to support senior professionals on a variety of corporate finance assignments, including high-yield and investment-grade bonds and private placements (debt & equity). Specific responsibilities include financial modeling & analysis, company valuation, company & industry research, preparation of security offerings and presentation materials, and database management.

Equity Capital Markets Analyst
As an Equity Capital Markets analyst you will collaborate with professionals across a broad range of disciplines within investment banking and equity sales and trading. Equity Capital Markets analysts are right in the middle of all stages of transactions, working closely with the coverage team to win mandates and structure offerings, and collaborating with equity sales professionals to market transactions to investors. You will quickly gain a broad skill set across a range of disciplines.

M&A Analyst
As an M&A analyst at BMO Capital Markets, you will work on strategic transactions for public and private companies. Projects may include the sale or acquisition of other companies or specific assets, spin-offs and restructurings. Specifically, you will build financial models and work on valuations of companies and/or corporate assets. In addition, you will be responsible for performing industry and client specific research, assembling client presentations and creating business development pitches in a variety of industries. As a result, you will develop a strong skill set for analyzing financial statements, gain exposure to executive management teams and build an understanding of other investment banking products beyond M&A.
