Equity Through Education

LimeLime Connect is leading the way as the premier resource for top talent in the disability space by attracting, preparing and connecting highly accomplished individuals with disabilities for careers with the world's leading corporations.

Lime Connect's goal is to break stereotypes and lead all companies to realize the importance, and value, of employing people with disabilities at every level of education, talent and ability.

How Lime Connect will use proceeds from Equity Through Education

Funds will be used for the BMO Capital Markets Lime Connect Equity Through Education Scholarship for Students with Disabilities. The scholarship is awarded to students in Canada and the U.S. pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in business/commerce, engineering, math, physics, statistics or a related discipline. To date, 29 students have received the scholarship.

Aileen Jiang

Aileen Jiang is a senior at New York University's Stern School of Business, majoring in Finance and Economics and minoring in Social Entrepreneurship. This summer, she interned at Google in the Sales & Account Management division. Aileen is passionate about social impact and has been exploring the intersections between doing good and doing business at NYU. This past year, she was the co-president of Net Impact, a social impact club, on campus. She has also been exploring social impact internationally by traveling to China, Guatemala, Peru, and India to learn about economic development and social issues in those areas.

Alam Khandwala

Alam Khandwala is very grateful to have been chosen as a BMO Capital Markets Equity through Education scholar in both 2012 and 2013. He is currently in his 3rd year at York University, studying Accounting. Alam's aspirations of becoming a Certified Fraud Examiner will help him use his financial expertise to create a safer business community. He is keen upon empowering the students at his university in matters of academic governance where he is a member of the Student Council of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and has the privilege of being the student representative on the search committee for the new Dean of the faculty. He also holds the position of Senator which is the highest governance body at York. He is currently working on a pilot project to ensure a smooth transition for incoming students as a peer mentor.Alam will be promoting Lime Connect and BMO on campus this coming year as a Lime Ambassador.

Grant Pritchard

Grant Pritchard graduated from Columbia Business School in May 2014. He has a passion for investing, innovative problem solving, and helping businesses grow and recover for long term success. While earning his MBA, Grant completed a part-time spring internship with a boutique growth equity fund and a full-time summer internship with private equity fund Lone Star Funds/Hudson Advisors where he worked on distressed corporate debt investments. Grant was an active member of the PE/VC Club, the Columbia Student Investment Association, and co-President of the Christian Business Fellowship. Upon graduating from Columbia, Grant returned to his hometown of Dallas, TX and joined Prudential Capital Group where he works to provide long term capital to middle market companies, focusing on mezzanine debt investments and private placement bonds to help fund companies' growth, M&A, and recapitalizations.

Jennifer Andrews

As a three-time scholarship recipient, Jennifer Andrews has made the most of her educational opportunities, studying a semester abroad at EDHEC Business School in France, while completing her BBA at Okanagan College. Jennifer credits Lime Connect and BMO Capital Markets for providing an exciting opportunity to join the Capital Markets & Enterprise Risk Portfolio Management group in 2012 as part of the BMO/Harris internship program. The summer of 2014 marks Jennifer's third BMO internship experience as she completes her second term in the Commercial Banking BC Division.

Jennifer is most happy when she is contributing to those around her – this includes being a mentor for the Young Entrepreneurship Competition, a project that supports elementary students and their business ideas. Being involved with the Kelowna Food Bank, the OC Accounting Club, Enactus and Lime Connect have also been terrific ways for Jennifer to give back to her community. She is looking forward to a bright future at BMO – to turn her potential into performance...fitting into a team culture that makes her excited to go to work each day!
