Jamie heads the global foreign exchange operations of BMO Capital Markets in Canada, the United States and Europe. She is also responsible for the bank’s capital markets activities in China. She oversees a team of nearly 100 professionals in eight cities, from Beijing to Chicago.

Jamie began her career on the foreign exchange sales desk at Chicago-based Harris Bank. When Bank of Montreal acquired Harris in 1984, she assumed responsibility for all U.S. FX trading, sales, and options activity and eventually created a North American FX platform. She was subsequently promoted to Executive Managing Director. China Capital Markets was added to her portfolio in 2006.

Jamie was previously a Director and Vice President of the Harris Bank Foundation, and is currently Chairman of the US Pension and Benefits Investment Committee. She serves on the FX Committee of the Federal Reserve Bank, as well as the Canadian FX Committee of the Bank of Canada. In her capacity for the Fed, she co-chairs the Compliance and Chief Dealer sub-committees.

In Chicago, Jamie is a member of the Founders Board of Children’s Memorial Hospital and the Board of Directors’ Finance Committee. She has served on the Board and Finance Committee of Cristo Rey Jesuit high school and she and her husband actively support Loyola Academy through a Chinese language program, and Chicago Catholic schools through involvement in the Big Shoulders Fund.
