BMO Women In Capital Markets Return To Bay Street Award

The BMO Women in Capital Markets Return to Bay Street Award has been created to provide an incentive for professional women with the desire to re-enter the Canadian Capital Markets industry after an extended period of absence from the workforce.

The successful candidate will be granted $5,000 towards an executive or continuing education program, a paid 3 month internship with BMO Capital Markets, a WCM mentor and a one-year WCM membership.

The objective of the award, internship, and mentoring program is to encourage high-calibre professional women to re-enter the capital market industry and equip them with the tools to re-launch their career. In preparation to re-launch a full-time career, this award funds a program to enhance their skills, provides an internship to further their experience and introduces them to a wider network of peers who can provide support during their transition back to work.

Eligible candidates are:

  • Women in the process of returning to the workforce who have a minimum of three years of professional experience in the capital markets industry, specifically in investment banking or sales/trading, and
  • Women who have taken a career hiatus for two years or longer and are completing or have completed an executive development or continuing education program within the last 12 months, and are available to complete a full-time, three-month internship at BMO Capital Markets in Toronto.
