Darryl White

Darryl is responsible for senior relationship management with several of the firm’s key media and communications clients, including Torstar, The Woodbridge Company, BCE and Astral Media. Since joining BMO Capital Markets, Darryl has been actively involved in advising clients on their financing and M&A transactions. Darryl also has overall responsibility for co-ordination of all BMO Capital Markets Investment & Corporate Banking activities in the province of Québec.

Prior to assuming his current responsibilities, he spent several years in the M&A and Diversified Industries Groups in Toronto. Darryl currently sits on the BMO Capital Markets Investment & Corporate Banking Canadian Management Committee, as well as the Management Committees of BMO Financial Group and the Investment Banking Group (Québec).

Darryl is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario’s Business School.

Ashi Mathur, CA

Ashi has been the lead advisor to a number of Communications companies with respect to mergers & acquisitions, recapitalizations, and both debt and equity financings. In addition to his responsibility for covering North American clients, Ashi leads the BMO Capital Markets initiative to build an investment and corporate banking presence in India.

Previously, Ashi spent close to five years at N.M. Rothschild & Sons. Prior to joining Rothschild, Ashi spent four years with Ernst & Young in its Corporate Finance and Auditing groups, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He joined the BMO Capital Markets Communications practice in January 2001.

Ashi is a Charter Member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Toronto, the world’s largest not-for profit organization for entrepreneurs. As a Charter Member, Ashi assists entrepreneurs through networking, education and mentoring. Ashi is also on the Board of Directors and the Fundraising Committee of The George Hull Centre, a charitable organization focused on the betterment of children and families.

Kevin J. Malone

Kevin has senior relationship responsibility for a number of the firm’s key corporate clients. He has advised a number of media, telecom and technology companies negotiating M&A and financings, including BCE, Black Press, Bragg Commonwealth, CTVglobemedia, CanWest, Cogeco, Rogers Communications, Thomson and Woodbridge. Previously Kevin held a number of senior client coverage responsibilities, including corporate banking assignments in Tokyo. He joined BMO Capital Markets in 1985.

Kevin has an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts (honours) from Queen’s University. He is also on the Board of Directors of Lakefield College School, and is past President of Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme’s National Board.
