Paul A. Hawkinson

Paul is Managing Director and Sector Head of BMO Capital Markets' Commercial & Industrial Group. He has devoted his entire banking career to the Industrials sector, providing M&A, equity and leveraged finance coverage to strategic and financial sponsor platforms in the general industrial, auto, truck, and broader vehicular sectors. Most recently, he served as Managing Director, Global Industries Group at Banc of America Securities in Chicago. Previous to that, Paul spent nearly 10 years at Deutsche Banc Securities and predecessor firms BT Alex Brown and BT Securities Corporation. Prior to banking, Paul served as a senior member of the financial services team at Deloitte & Touche in Chicago. He joined BMO Capital Markets in 2007.

Paul holds an MBA in Finance from the Kellog Graduate School of Management at Northwestern and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from North Park College in Chicago.

Douglas Lawson

Doug is a Managing Director in the BMO Capital Markets Commercial & Industrial Group. He is responsible for the investment banking practice focused on the packaging, plastics and chemicals industries. Doug has 20 years experience in finance and investment banking. His transaction experience includes numerous sale mandates, buy-side advisory services, leveraged buyouts, fairness opinions and financings for a wide variety of clients. Prior to joining BMO Capital Markets, Doug was a principal in Piper Jaffray & Company’s Chicago-based Middle Market Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Doug joined BMO Capital Markets in 2006.

Doug has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Western Ontario. He qualified as a lawyer and accountant.

Edward P. McGuire

Edward is a Managing Director in the BMO Capital Markets Commercial & Industrial Group, where he specializes in the transportation sector. He has over 21 years of experience arranging leveraged finance, M&A transactions, asset securitizations and project financings for BMO Capital Markets. While with the firm, Edward arranged over USD 1 billion in transactions within the Transportation Group. Prior to joining BMO Capital Markets, he was the Chief Financial Officer of a privately held, Chicago-based, general equipment leasing company.

Edward has both an MBA in accounting and finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Iowa. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

Raymond Whitacre

Ray is a Managing Director in the BMO Capital Markets Commercial & Industrial Group. He is responsible for providing coverage to companies in a wide range of industries throughout the U.S. During his career, Ray has designed and completed numerous financing arrangements. In the corporate finance area, he has facilitated client deals ranging in size from USD 1 million to USD 475 million. Prior to assuming his current position, Ray spent six years as a Managing Director responsible exclusively for the Illinois marketplace serving companies with annual sales ranging from USD 30 million to USD 2 billion. He began his career as a relationship manager in the commercial lending division. Ray joined BMO Capital Markets in 1986.

Ray has a Bachelor of Science degree in finance (cum laude) from Miami University. Ray is also NASD Registered (NASD Series 7 and 63).

Andrew Carolus

Andrew Carolus is a Director in the Commercial and Industrial Group of BMO Capital Markets, based in Chicago. Previously, he was with Credit Suisse, UBS Investment Bank, and JP Morgan where he spent 13 years advising clients on a number of strategic transactions, including mergers, corporate sales and divestitures, acquisitions and fairness opinions. He joined BMO Capital Markets in 2006.

Andrew received his MBA and Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan.

Jonathan Del Re

Jonathan is a Director in the BMO Capital Markets Commercial & Industrial Group, where he is engaged in marketing and executing investment banking products for clients in the broader industrial sector. Jonathan has extensive transaction experience in areas including mergers and acquisitions, and debt and equity financings. He has executed transactions for clients of various sizes, both public and private. Prior to joining BMO Capital Markets, Jonathan was a Vice President in JPMorgan's Diversified Industrials and Transportation Group, where he focused on large and mid-cap industrial clients. He started his investment banking career as an Associate in the Gaming and Lodging group at SG Cowen. Jonathan joined BMO Capital Markets in 2004.

Jonathan holds both an MBA and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California.

Ken Kramer

Ken is a Director in the BMO Capital Markets Commercial & Industrial Group, where he specializes in the transportation sector. Ken has over 15 years experience arranging leveraged finance/M&A transactions, commodity derivatives, asset securitizations, investment grade public debt and syndicated senior bank financings, including eight years managing a USD 3 billion transportation portfolio with another financial institution’s transportation group. Ken began his career as a Certified Public Accountant doing audit and tax work with a “Big Eight” accounting firm.

Ken holds an MBA from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois, and a BBA degree in Accounting from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Thad D. Rasche

Thad is a Director in the BMO Capital Markets Commercial & Industrial Group. He is responsible for loan origination and portfolio management and covers companies located in the Midwest marketplace. Thad has over 17 years of corporate and investment banking experience and has worked with both middle market and large corporate clients. He joined BMO Capital Markets in 1999.

Thad has an MBA from Thunderbird - The American Graduate School of International Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Miami University.

Matthew Anderson

Matt is a Vice President in the BMO Capital Markets Commercial & Industrial Group, where he is focused on the basic materials and transportation industries. With over 11 years in the investment banking industry, his transaction experience includes advising both public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, financings and opinions. Prior to joining BMO Capital Markets, Matt was a Vice President at Crowe Capital Markets, a middle-market mergers and acquisitions firm. Previously, Matt worked for ABN AMRO, Inc. in its Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group and Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin. Matt joined BMO Capital Markets in 2006.

Matt has an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from St. Lawrence University.

Christopher C. Cavaiani

Chris is a Vice President in the BMO Capital Markets Commercial & Industrial Group. He is responsible for loan origination and portfolio management and has experience in executing various debt financings for both public and private clients for companies located throughout the U.S. Prior to joining BMO Capital Markets, Chris was Vice President at JPMorgan Chase and predecessor companies where he was responsible for loan underwriting, structuring and closing for client companies in a variety of manufacturing and service industries. Chris has over 13 years of corporate and investment banking experience and has worked with both middle market and large corporate clients. Chris joined BMO Capital Markets in 2006.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a concentration in Finance from DePaul University.

Timothy Dana

Timothy is a Vice President in BMO Capital Markets’ Packaging Group, where he focuses on corporate and investment banking for middle-market packaging industry clients and private equity groups. His extensive financial advisory and capital-raising experience has included over 40 leveraged financing and M&A mandates. His packaging-sector experience includes flexible, rigid, paper & board, labels, and contract packaging. Timothy is also a contributing editor of the monthly packaging newsletter, The Converter. Previously, he was a director in JPMorgan/Bank One’s leveraged debt capital markets group. He started his finance career at First Chicago Capital Markets as an associate in its leveraged finance group, and up through the mid-1990s, Timothy worked in many roles within his family’s Midwest-based commercial printing and fulfillment business. He joined BMO Capital Markets in 2005.

Timothy holds an MBA in finance from the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan.

Danjuma Gibson

Danjuma is a Vice President in the BMO Capital Markets Commercial & Industrial Group. He is responsible for loan origination and portfolio management. Danjuma’s experience includes structuring transactions ranging from single bank deals of USD 30 million to syndicated restructurings exceeding USD 500 million in value. He joined BMO Capital Markets in 1997.

Danjuma has an MBA from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Morehouse College.

Andrew Kanfer

Andy is a Vice President on BMO Capital Markets’ Commercial and Industrial team. He previously served for nearly six years in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of BMO Capital Markets, where he was primarily engaged in mergers and acquisitions, valuation assignments, strategic alternatives and general corporate finance assignments. Prior to joining the firm, he was an Assistant Vice President in the Commercial Lending Group of ABN-AMRO/LaSalle focusing primarily on leveraged finance transactions.

Andy holds an MBA with a concentration in finance and strategy form the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree for the University of Michigan - Ross School of Business.

William J. Thomson

William is a Vice President in the BMO Capital Markets Commercial & Industrial Group. He is responsible for working with both public and private middle market companies, with sales ranging from USD 30 to USD 750 million. Previously, he worked with clients from a wide range of industries within the Emerging Majors Group. Prior to joining BMO Capital Markets William was a Credit Manger for a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, where he gained substantial experience in facilitating asset-based lending transactions. He joined BMO Capital Markets in 2000.

William has a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Illinois State University.

Gayne Underwood

Gayne is a Vice President in the BMO Capital Markets Commercial & Industrial Group. He is responsible for both business origination and portfolio management for both public and private, middle-market clients up to USD $3 billion in revenue. Previous experience at BMO Capital Markets includes working in the Business Development and the Construction & Building Products teams. Gayne’s prior work experience includes a role as a Director for the large corporate banking group of The Bank of Nova Scotia. He started his career in the Banker Development Program at the American National Bank in Chicago.

Gayne has both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Indiana University. He also holds a Series 7 license in the State of Illinois.
