Erik N. van Nispen

Erik is a Managing Director and Sector Head of the U.S. Financial Institutions Corporate and Investment Banking Group. Erik has over 20 years of experience providing investment and commercial banking services to financial institutions while at Merrill Lynch, Ryan Beck, Sandler O’Neill & Partners, and ABN AMRO, where he headed the North American Financial Institutions Group. Erik has extensive experience advising banks, thrifts, insurance companies, asset managers, specialty finance companies and futures & securities firms, with over $10 billion in completed mergers and acquisitions. His capital markets experience is equally broad, assisting clients in raising more than $15 billion in public and private capital. He has worked extensively with small to mid-cap as well as large-cap clients.

Erik earned an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University.

Scott Ferris

Scott is a Managing Director in the U.S. Financial Institutions Corporate and Investment Banking Group and is Head of the U.S. Financial Institutions Loan Products Group. For more than 23 years, Scott has worked in a variety of capacities within the U.S. Financial Institutions Corporate and Investment Banking Group, covering clients in the futures & securities, banking, specialty finance and asset management industries.

Scott earned an MBA from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Elizabeth Marin

Liz is a Managing Director in the U.S. Financial Institutions Corporate and Investment Banking Group, where she focuses on specialty finance companies. Prior to joining BMO Capital Markets, Liz gained more than 12 years of investment banking experience covering financial institutions, including two years at Wachovia Securities in New York as a Director in its Financial Institutions Group. Previously, she was a Principal at Banc of America Securities, and a Vice President at Salomon Smith Barney. She began her career at Coopers & Lybrand in Boston. Liz joined BMO Capital Markets in 2007.

Liz earned an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Fairfield University.

Steven Turley

Steve is a Managing Director in the U.S. Financial Institutions Corporate and Investment Banking Group, where he focuses primarily on the futures & securities industry. Steve has over 30 years of experience within BMO Financial Group. During this time, Steve has developed extensive knowledge servicing the investment and corporate banking needs of financial institutions while being stationed in the New York, London and Chicago offices.

Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Dayton.

Jonathan Knauss

Jonathan is a Director in the U.S. Financial Institutions Corporate and Investment Banking Group, where he provides strategic advice and financing solutions to companies in the financial services industry. Prior to joining BMO Capital Markets, Jonathan was a Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group at A.G. Edwards. Jonathan began his career in the Capital Markets Group of U.S. Bancorp, where he was responsible for originating and structuring leveraged finance transactions, syndicated loans and mezzanine investments for a bank sponsored mezzanine fund. Jonathan joined BMO Capital Markets in 2006.

Jonathan earned an MBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics from Drury University.
