Egizio Bianchini

Egizio is a Capital Markets Vice-Chair and Global Co-Head of the Global Metals & Mining group. The group is a world leader in the development of financing, M&A and strategic advisory solutions. Egizio’s track record includes numerous transactions for a wide range of metals and mining companies, including the C$8 billion purchase of Red Back Mining by Kinross Gold; the C$3.7 billion sale of Meridian Gold to Yamana Gold; UraMin Inc.’s US$2.5 billion sale to Areva; and Alcoa’s US$33 billion bid for Alcan. Egizio joined BMO Capital Markets in 1989.

Prior to joining Global Metals & Mining, Egizio was a top-rated Research Analyst covering precious metals and mineral stocks. He holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Toronto.

Jason Neal

Jason is Global Co-Head of the Global Metals & Mining group. A team member for 14 years, Jason manages equity financing, merger, acquisition, defence and restructuring transactions for clients ranging from junior growth companies to senior metals and mining companies. Jason’s track record includes Newmont’s US$1 billion acquisition of 33% of the Boddington mine and related US$1.8 billion equity and convertible debenture financing; Franco-Nevada’s C$1.3 billion IPO and follow-on equity financings; the merger of FNX Mining and Quadra Mining ($3.5 billion); Uranium One’s asset-for-share swap and investment transactions with ARMZ (US $2.2 billion) as well as acquisitions of the UrAsia Energy (C$3.5 billion) and Energy Metals (C$1.8 billion) and C$270 million strategic investment by a Japanese consortium.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
