William E. Butt

Bill is a member of the firm’s capital commitments and investment and corporate banking management committees. Bill was previously Executive Managing Director and head of the firm’s Vancouver Investment and Corporate Banking operation. For a number of years, he was one of the firm’s core M&A specialists. He has completed advisory and financing transactions across many industries.

Previously, Bill led the then CAD 3.6 billion mutual fund business of a Canadian chartered bank and worked in mergers and acquisitions for a Canadian investment bank. He joined predecessor firm Burns Fry in 1993.

Bill holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and studied at the Rotterdam Graduate School of Management in the Netherlands. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Toronto’s St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation and was also named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40.

David R. Casper

Dave is an Executive Managing Director with BMO Capital Markets, and Co-Head of Investment & Corporate Banking. Dave joined BMO Capital Markets in 1997 with a primary focus on mergers and acquisitions, private and public capital raising and general advisory services. Between 1999 and 2006 he was Co-Head of the firm’s U.S. Financial Sponsors coverage efforts. Prior to joining BMO, Dave was an Executive Vice-President at Harris N.A., with responsibilities for managing corporate and investment banking in the Midwest.

A Wisconsin native and long-time Chicago resident, Dave is a graduate of Dartmouth College and obtained his Masters of Management degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Dominic A. Petito

Dominic is an Executive Managing Director with BMO Capital Markets, and Co-Head of Investment & Corporate Banking. Previously, he was Head of Investment Banking at Gerard Klauer Mattison, now part of BMO Capital Markets, where he gained extensive and varied transactional experience.

Dominic has facilitated numerous mergers and acquisitions, public and private debt and equity offerings, exchange offers and restructurings on behalf of clients from the technology, interactive entertainment, toy and new media industries. Prior to joining Gerard Klauer Mattison, he spent 14 years practicing corporate and securities law and was a partner at Dorsey & Whitney. He has also held the position of Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Banner Industries and was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.

Dominic has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law. While at Boston University, he was Note and Case Editor of the Law Review.
