BMO Capital Markets supports the 2017 Return to Bay Street Program
WCM’s Return to Bay Street program (RTBS) plays an important role in returning talented women to the industry by providing a path back to their successful careers after an extended absence from the industry. This program is unique in that it brings these women back to the senior roles from which they left, rather than having to work their way back up the ladder.
This year, applications for the award can be submitted beginning on March 1, 2017, with a deadline of April 13, 2017. In order to prepare candidates for their application process, WCM is offering an information & skill-building workshop in Toronto on March 23 and in Montreal on March 30. These sessions will include an overview of the program and the application process, and a career coaching session. Candidates will also have the opportunity to network with industry professionals.
Since its launch in 2012, this program has gained strong momentum. 2016 marked the program’s most successful year yet, with 12 award recipients receiving contracts at seven financial institutions. Now entering its 7th year, a total of 34 women have re-entered the capital markets into senior positions through the Return to Bay Street program.
